Karan Law House's Latest Offering

Karan Law House, Kalyan has recently published a book called Building Regulations after its various publications on the construction industry laws and regulations.

The book is written by S.T. Shinde who is a town planner, Nanded Waghela City Municipal Corporation along with S.P. Mangtani.

It promises to be a handy guide to all the building regulations.

ECC bags major bridges orders from NHAI on NH-5, Vijayawada

ECC has bagged the contracts of two major bridges constructions and eight medium two-lane bridges. The two-lane bridges also include road over bridges and underpasses between 80 to 200 Km on National Highway No.5.

The project is valued at Rs.103 crores. In the first package, there is a construction of 2340 m long, two-lane bridge across river Gowthami. The bridge will have pre-cast and pres-stressed concrete I-girders with 48 spans of 48.78 m weighing 210t each. Of 192 girders, the superstructure will rest on 49 well foundations with the depth of 35m. The deck will be made up of in-site concrete, topped with asphalt wearing course with walk-aways on side. The road on both sides will be built with reinforced earth embankments and pre-cast concrete wall panels. Two canal bridges and a road over bridge too are included in the contract. The other package valued at Rs 100 crores, includes construction of a 960 m long, 2-lane bridge across river Vasishta. The bridge has 20 spans with a length of 45.72m and two spans of 20m each. The bridge is made up of 80 pre-cast, pre-stressed concrete girders with weight of 180t. Construction of six medium bridges, one road over bridge and six underpasses are part of the contract too. Both these contracts are to be executed in a time frame of 30 months.
