"SURFACER" is a unique automatic and fully integrated Drum Mix Asphalt
Plant creatively designed for long lasting durability and constant operational
use. It meets all the latest M.O.S.T. specifications and also matches
the highest international standards. The Surfacer produces a uniform high
quality hot asphalt mix in its thermodrum which consists of a Dryer and
Mixing Unit combined.
The Dryer is equipped with an imported electronic high pressure oil-jet bumer that incorporates an automatic pulse-width modulated system. Cold aggregtes are fed into the drum from a robust 4-Bin Feeder with the use of separate individual conveyors under each Bin, a main gathering conveyor and finally a slinger conveyor. In the process all oversize aggregates are removed using a single deck vibratory screen. A continuous type Load Cell Weighing System determines the weight of the aggregates fed into the drum and simultaneously directs the Asphalt Pump to release proportionate amount of bitumen inside the Mixing chamber of the thermodrum. The operation of the entire surfacer plant is regulated from a central air-conditioned control cabin provided with an electronic control panel cabinet that also features a computerised Mimic Diagram Screen and print-out facility. The bitumen is stored and heated inside a fully insulated Asphalt Tank equipped with a separate imported low pressure electronic burner and positive displacement type asphalt pump. A specialised system is employed for complete elimination of bitumen clogging in the pipelines. An advanced Mineral Filler system is provided to add requisite filler material from a separate hopper into the mix. The filler material is pneumatically fed and its proportion is synchronised with that of the aggregates and bitumen. A special L.D.O. Tank stores the L.D.O./Diesel and delivers it to the respective burners fitted in the Dryer and Asphalt Tank with the use of a sophisticated internal gear pump. Apart from a Cyclone type Dust Collector fitted as an attachment to the thermodrum, the plant is also supplied with an additional Wet Dust Collector for thorough pollution control during use specially in urban metropolitan areas. A Load Out22 Hot Convertor finally transfers the hot asphalt mix from the thermodrum into an automated hydraulic storage hopper.
