HYDRO-PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS
Most Power-presses have primary requirement of a fast approach, a power stroke and a rapid reversal. Hydro-pneumatic cylinders satisifies these functions in an ideal way. The rapid approach and reversal is accomplished by air whilst the power stroke is actuated by the intensified oil. Intensification is done by a different piston with air on the low pressure side. There are various way to build such cylinders. The oil chamber is maintained under mild pressure, this improves the stroke frequency and also permits usage in any orientation. There is a total air to oil separation, a fine vent is provided for either leakages to purge out. The ram is sukpported on the both sides to low noise level, relatively cost effective. Beside the sheet metal working applications, these cylinders can be considered for locking-clamping, riveting, embossing, compacting, moulding.

LUTHRA Import Substitute Industries,
Mumbai, offers heavy, medium pressure pneumatic cylinders in a wide range of bore sizes
ranging from 19 mm to 350 mm and stroke lengths up to 4.5 metres. The cylinders sturdy
construction and original American design has rendered a reliable and trusted name in the
pneumatic industry. Various models available viz double/single acting, double/single
ended, tandem, linear air motor (automatic to and fro movement of piston rod with oly one
inlet connection).
Material used: Low carbon steel seamless
tube honed to 0.3 micron and hard chrome plated to 65 RC covers cast iron/aluminium
oxidised and high tensile piston rod seals nitrile self adjusting and
oil resistant. Adjustable cushioning provided/optional custom cylinders
viz extended piston rod/larger diameter piston rod for heavy load bearing.
Also available crimped type mini series pencil cylinders in bores 19/25
upto 40 mm available. The cylinders are designed for a low friction coefficient
ensuring long trouble free and reliable performance. ‘Luthra’
also offers heavy duty round/square tie rod/tie rodless type hydraulic
cylinders for construction equipment/hydraulic presses etc. Imported viton
fabrick reinforced seals used for heavy duty application upto 350 bar.
Bores available upto 300 mm and large strokes length applications are

FEED CONTROL CYLINDER
LUTHRA Import Substitute
Industries, offers feed control cylinder have a built in hydraulic system
which dampens the movement of the pneumatic cylinder and hence can be
used in applications where there is no jerk required which is characteristic
of air cylinders working at low pressures. Applications include those
in printing industry, or where a slight jerk from the cylinder results
in failure of the system. The cylinder is available in stroke adjustable
type. A flow control valve mounted on the cylinder itself can further
control the speed of the cylinder. Please specify if the cylinder is vertically
or horizontally mounted as the oil reservoir position changes according
to the type of mounting of the cylinder.
