R. K. Control Instruments Pvt. Ltd., was established in
1969 to manufacture Control Valves based on indigenous technology. The factory is situated
at Thane industrial area, 38 km from Mumbai city. The company is headed by experienced
technocrats having more than 40 years in the field of instrumentation and and control
valves technology. The organisation is involved in design, manufacture, supply and
servicing of control valves and its accessories used in fertilizers, petrochemicals,
chemicals, steel, soda ash plants, water treatment plants, refineries and power sectors
etc. In 1982, when the government permitted the import of foreign technology, R. K.
Control Instruments entered into technical collaboration with well known UK Company, Kent
Introl Ltd., a subsidiary of Asia Brown Boveri Kent Plc and successfully completed the
contract which included transfer of technology and updating of the know-how during the
period. The designs are operated on latest CAD systems. It has in-house modern machinery
including CNC machines and elaborate test facilities to cater to precision operations
involved in the manufacture of Control valves, Pneumatic Diaphragm Actutors and Valve
Accessories conforming to international standards. The company strongly believe in quality
assurance and it is a pre-requisite for successful business operation. The quality systems
procedure are laid down and followed as per ISO 9001. It is equipped with advanced
software for sizing valves and actutors. Simulation techniques are used to ensure that
every single valve will perform to its designed parameters. The company is managed by Mr.
N.M. Wadhwani, Technical Director who has an expertise in control valve industry having
four decades of working experience and 20 years of dedicated association with the company
with experience in designing, production, marketing and technology development. Mr.
Wadhwani has gained experience as a project manager for the plant set up at Dow Chemicals,
USA. Mr. Shyam R. Jethwani who is also a co-promoter is a general manager with the
company. A graduate in Instrumentation Engineering, Mr. Jethwani has to its credit
valuable experience in marketing, production, products, application etc. The following are

About the company
R.K. Control Instruments Pvt. Ltd.,
(Formerly known as R.K. Engineering Corporation) was established in 1969. The factory is
located in the industrial belt at Wagle Estate, Thane, 38 km from Mumbai city. The
organisation was promoted by Mr. R.K. Jethwani - managing director and Mr. N.M.Wadhwani -
technical director.
Products & Applications: Globe, Weir (Diaphragm), ball, butterfuly,
Air-O-Motor, flush bottom, self acting pressure reducing, desuperheater
valve, valve positioner, volume boosters, airlocks, air filter regulators,
pneumatic actutors and power cylinders. The company’s valves are
used in petrochemical, fertilizer, power, paper, chemical, sugar, refineries,
water treatment plants etc. with trouble free operation.
Technical collaboration: RKCIPL had a technical collaboration with reputed
UK company, called Kent Introl Ltd., a subsidiary of Asia Brown Boveri
Kent P/c. The company’s products are designed and manufactured as
per Introl design. Our products are manufactured on CNC Machines and precision
Lathe Machines. The company is are in the process of implementing the
ISO 9001 and monitor the quality of products as per the ISO system procedure.
Exports The company exports substantial volume of pneumatic actutors to
the United States of America, Control Valves and Accessories to U.K. and
the Middle East.

RKCIPL executed a number of orders under the inspection approval of PDIL, H & G, TCE,
NPC, UHDE, EIL, BHEL, ONGC, BV, Mecon, Dalal, Toyo, Chemtex, M.N. Dastur, KPG (Davy
Powergas) ICB, DCL, DCE, L & T, NTPC etc. Our major clients: IOCL, IFFCO, NFL, NPC,
RCF, TCL, DLF, Thirumalai Chemicals, Indiana, GAIL, KCP Sugars, Jindal Strips,

On major achievements: Implementation of the ISO 9001 system procedure
and is expected to complete the very soon.
